New EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC nebula filters S-II and H-Alpha expand our filter range and enable easier observation and photography of many faint deep sky objects.

NEW - Now also various nebula filters are available in the narrow band versions with 6.5nm or 7.0nm transmission bandwidth, to increase contrast even under difficult urban conditions.

Besides air turbulence, the brightening of the night sky is the greatest barrier to observing faint objects beyond the solar system. Due to street lamps and other artificial lighting, the sky in human settlements is no longer properly black. As a result, the contrast and thus the perception of deep-sky objects also suffers. Depending on the type of celestial object, however, it is possible to filter out some of the disturbing light and thus make it easier to observe and photograph the objects.

The advantage is that even with inexpensive telescopes and in combination with these filters, amazingly good image results are obtained despite the existing light pollution.
