Bresser hands over toys worth more than 10,000 euros to the German Red Cross

Four large pallets of educational toys with a total value of more than 10,000 euros will be donated to the German Red Cross this week.

Four large pallets with educational toys with a total value of more than 10,000 Euro were handed over by Bresser GmbH to the German Red Cross during Holy Week. The Youth Red Cross of Rhede, together with the Alliance for Family, had called for well-preserved used or new toys as well as books and pencils to be handed over.

The collection was intended for needy families who have few toys of their own to keep their children busy at home in a sufficient and varied way due to the Corona-related closing times of day-care centers and schools.

"We mainly put together microscopes, various experiment sets, soft toys and interactive globes as well as educational toys. After all, these should be things that, due to quarantine regulations, are preferably used in the house or apartment. For families with their own garden, we have also packed together a number of telescopes and all kinds of useful outdoor equipment such as walkie talkies and binoculars for children to explore the surrounding area," informs Helmut Ebbert, Managing Director of Bresser GmbH.

Thus Bresser remains true to its motto "Discover the world through play" also in the latest aid project. And what better way to do this than with innovative "Smart Learning" toys such as globes, wall maps and wooden puzzles, which are equipped with the new AR (Augmented Reality) technology and offer children from the age of five years a wealth of information about our planet. Or with the exciting experiment sets, with the help of which children can make their own microscope with the simplest of means or produce a vacuum cleaner with the help of a PET beverage bottle.
