Comment of the photographer:

Deep-space objects are displayed by Explore Scientific’s new camera in superb detail. The Sony Exmor IMX428 CMOS Sensor (has got a diameter of 17.6 mm, so a resolution of 7.1 MP produces a pixel size of 4.5 µm x 4.5 µm) is surprisingly sensitive, delivering more detailed results per time unit than I have managed to in any other way so far. It produces a relatively visible glow, but that is completely eliminated at the production of dark images. I have particularly grown to like the EXPLORE CAPTURE software, which allows me to apply detailed settings, making it, in turn, extremely easy to adjust the focus on and the composition of a stable live-view image, even for dim objects. The camera body is pleasantly light, just over 500 g. It was a mindful gesture to provide two extra USB ports (there is a built-in USB hub in the camera), which makes it easy to power my guider I am using near the camera.
